event development, management and marketing for various types of meetings, events and fundraisers.
Helga is highly competent, capable, resourceful, and personable, she conveys a warm, friendly yet professional image at all times. Extremely self-motivated, enthusiastic and with a can-do, positive attitude, she has proven her ability for working in complex and busy situations and is known for keeping a level head at all times and for considering no job as too big or too small.

What sets Helga apart is the diversity of her experience and background. Her experience in the corporate world provides her with a unique level of professionalism. As a wedding planner, first and foremost, she is a project manager – and her job is to manage events and the vendors involved, making sure everyone stays on task and on time. She also has strong organization & project management skills (not everyone in this business has!!). As a team player, she is fully engaged with her entire team, including the vendor – they pull together and support each other to ensure the affair is a huge success.
The Birth of Jus Gorjus
As favors for family and friends, Helga coordinated and assisted with the planning of baby and bridal showers, birthday parties, anniversaries, retirements, social gatherings, weddings, fundraisers, and family reunions. After considerable thought and continued encouragement to turn her passion for helping people plan & coordinate events into a business, Jus Gorjus was founded in 2011. After completing the process for obtaining a business licence, Helga enrolled in Women's Initiative's Simple Steps to Business Success business training program. After completing and graduating from the program, she embarked the path to follow her dreams of business success.
